Why I Chose Richard Browne

Richard Browne inspires me because his life shows how tenacity, consistency, grit and will power can always overcome adversity. He did not allow a devastating injury to define the rest of his life. Instead, he rebuilt, trained, and became an elite athlete competing on an international stage. I have watched this man overcome so much, even beyond his tragic accident, and he always turns power into purpose.

He earned a silver medal in the men’s 100-meter T44 event at the 2012 London Paralympic Games and became known for breaking major sprint records in para-athletics. His achievements show that limitations do not have to stop someone from reaching excellence.
